Government Affairs Committee

The Chamber's Government Affairs Committee works to create and sustain a favorable business environment in which all businesses can grow and prosper through the monitoring of legislation and influencing of governmental decisions on behalf of the interests of our members. This committee provides a basis for the Chamber to act on local, state, and federal governmental issues and evaluate political candidates.

This month: The Greater Escondido Chamber of Commerce and our Government Affairs team are proud to welcome Mayor Dane White as our first guest of 2023.

Mayor White will discuss a wide variety of topics from his first-time election experience and becoming the youngest Mayor in the history of Escondido, to the key issues facing the Escondido region in the coming years. Issues such as homelessness, the budget shortfall, housing, development, and more.
